Join Jenn for a morning class that will build balance, strength and flexibility. Class format will vary week to week and may range in intensity so just come (virtually) prepared to go with the flow! This 45-minute live-stream class will strengthen and tone the entire body with this fun, classic ballet inspired workout. We will use light balls, chairs or walls and weights to achieve a leaner and more flexible body. Level 2 class, but all levels welcome. It focuses on poses to stretch and strengthen all major muscle groups while opening the body to increasing challenges. The first half of class will build energy & focus with an active vinyasa sequence and be followed up by a series of gentle stretches to assist in relaxation & stress release and ending with a long, juicy savasana. Typically we are stiffer in the morning and so an early morning practice teaches us the most about our bodies. This special express version is the same great workout, but in a 45 minute time period. This class brings together the perfect marriage of yin and restorative yoga with poses designed to support relaxation, deep stretching of the connective tissues, and total rest and healing of body and mind. We begin with Yin postures designed to encourage release in the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and spine and conclude with gentle restorative poses that bring balance to the nervous system and allow for deep rest. Yin & Restorative yoga is the perfect complement to more active styles of yoga as it works specifically with letting go. This class is open to all levels.
